In an informal meeting senior cooperator Dileep Sangahni had with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week, the former requested the latter to be the Chief Guest at the NCUI function scheduled later this year.
“Prime Minister asked his staff to note down the date and sounded quite positive on the matter. If you ask me I would say yes he accepted our invitation”, said Sanghani to Indian Cooperative.
Earlier, NCUI President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav had met Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh requesting his help in securing Prime Minister’s participation in the event.
Readers would note that NCUI is holding the international event- AGM of International Cooperative Alliance (Asia-Pacific) in 2016. The General Assembly of ICA (A-P) scheduled later this year in N Delhi is going to be different, claims NCUI President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav.
In fact it would prove to be the template for all future Assemblies, said NCUI President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav who is excited about the function.
Congratulating Sanghani for his initiative NCUI President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav only wanted the decision by PM to be taken sooner than later. “Invitations have to be sent to foreign countries and we are racing against time”, said Yadav to Indian Cooperative.
We would showcase India, I mean not its physical attributes but its tradition of hospitality, he said. Staying at a five-star hotel and being fed by a robot-like staff is what we have been experiencing so far in all foreign jaunts. But India is different and we take care of our guests in a personalized manner, said Chandra Pal explaining his idea of playing the host.
Meanwhile, making the best of his meeting with the Prime Minister Dileep Sanghani also raised the issue of honey production under the brand name Amar in the cooperative sector in Gujarat. PM showed his interest as it would solve the issues of unemployment as well as provide the people with pure honey in the state, underlined Sanghani.
