NCUI President Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav sounded unfazed and said that a correct interpretation of laws would clear him and NCUI of all the charges leveled by the Arbitrator.
Reacting to the Arbitrator’s Award in the matter of NCUI’s President’s election Chandra Pal Singh Yadav said that nothing is above law and nobody can interpret it following his personal whims and fancy. We would go to court and would put our point of view there, he added.
Readers would note that the Arbitrator Sanjay Agnihotri appointed by the Central Register on the complaints of Ashok Dabas in the matter of NCUI elections, has quashed the election of Chandra Pal Singh Yadav as the President of National Cooperative Union of India.
On the question of conflict of interest Chandra Pal said it was 7 years ago that Mr V P Singh was the marketing Director at Kribhco and I was not even Chairman at that time. The Act says the RO has not to be an employee of the organization where the elections are taking place. Is he on the payroll of NCUI? Yadav shot back. Nobody is above law to interpret it in his own way, he added.
Being in cooperative for such a long time I know majority of people and this kind of situation can arise every now and then. How can I help not knowing people, he mocked.
Earlier also in my last tenure my presidency was challenged but we got the relief from the court. This time again I am sure we would get the relief as we have not done anything wrong. What I value is rules and acts and not an individual’s personal whims, Yadav underlined.
Majority of Governing Council members Indian Cooperative talked to said they stand by Chandra Pal. One of them said even if the election takes place 100 times, the Board would elect him and him alone!
Individually, I respect Mr. CPS Yadav as a Parliamentarian …….. and as an astute Politician ……..
But, Mr Yadav, I expect you to speak the Truth …….. Last time also you did not get any relief from the Court …..
The Fact of the matter is that you lost in Arbitration even then and the Court case was withdrawn as compromised …….. and I would not like to delve on the manner the Court case against you was withdrawn, as was reported in this News portal at that point of time, there was lavish party thrown in a Five Star Hotel prior to the withdrawal of the Case …. …….
Even this time the findings of the “Arbtral Tribunal” speak Loud and Clear that the election was rigged and malpractices adopted on a large scale …….
And yes, you are right, “No one is above Law” ………… So we would expect you to work within laws …….
