Stories of Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh arm-twisting NCUI on the issue of NCCT Secretary Mohan Mishra are currently doing the rounds in the cooperative circles. Cooperators see it as interference by the minister in the internal affairs of the apex body of cooperatives.
The matter refers to the continuation of Mohan Mishra as the Secretary of NCCT-the training arm of NCUI. According to Informed sources, the minister has asked for his continuation for what sources say satirically “for the sake of continued spying on NCUI”.

Sources inform that NCUI President has already given in to the pressure and written to the Ministry recommending Mishra’s extension in his job-a goal for which Mishra lobbied hard and got it at long last. But undeniably this has sullied the reputation of the apex body, sighed a cooperator painfully.
Most members of the governing council Indian Cooperative talked to were livid at the development for they had insistently balked at his continuation on the job.
The main grouse of cooperators against him related to his “efforts” of weakening NCUI by snitching to the Ministry. Furthermore, it is common knowledge that Mishra has been active behind the scenes mounting a campaign to make NCCT a separate entity free from NCUI’s control.
