In order to create a world class campus at the upcoming Noida based Centre of Excellence, the apex co-op body NCUI held a meeting was the officials of Vishwakarma Skill University, Dudhola, Palwal (Haryana) last week, claims a press release mailed by the apex body.
The online meeting was aimed at forging joint collaborations. Cornel Utkarsh Rathore, JD, Short-term Courses said that SVSU fully supports formation of cooperative societies and conducting surveys by involving the student community to explore wide possibilities in the field of cooperatives.
Cornel Rathore felt a few societies and SHGs could be developed and adopted for showcasing the strength of cooperative models to the students and others.
In the detailed interaction that took place, soon after the visit of NCUI President to the Noida Centre, N. Satya Narayana Chief Executive of NCUI said NCUI can promote cooperatives with the support of SVSU in the fields of handloom, poultry, dairy, etc so that cooperative business is initiated with the help of cooperative enterprises.
Further, he mentioned that NCUI will support in framing the educational syllabus, modules, conduction of educational activities, research, surveys etc. This will promote skill development in the candidates to promote cooperative societies or to gain emphasis in various fields, CE added.
Dr A.R. Srinath, Senior Consultant lamented that due to the COVID 19 pandemic, there was not much progress. This MoU and other efforts are sure to help in the situation, he stated.
Dr Anshu Bharadwaj, Skill Associate Professor, SVSU also present in the meeting expressed her views on participation of youth and women community in the various activities.
It was agreed that NCUI- SVSU would work to build up Centre of Excellence specially for training and education, skill development activities for the betterment of cooperative movement in due course of time.
The next course of action will follow between the two organizations shortly, the release claimed.
