NCUI-the apex body of cooperatives in the country is bracing to hold a mega women conference in collaboration with NCDC beginning tomorrow that is Tuesday at its auditorium in Delhi. The two-day event is likely to be inaugurated by Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh.
Informed sources say the event is being organized at the behest of Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh. NCDC which has been funding only the big co-operatives so far has been nudged by the Minister to focus on woman cooperatives.
The Chief Executive of NCUI N Satyanarayan and Managing Director of NCDC Mrs Vasudha Mishra have already met twice along with their team to give final touches to the event.
“We have jointly selected about 200 woman cooperative societies spread across states to take part in this highly useful conference “, said Satyanarayan to Indian Cooperative.
“You can say there would be woman cooperators from Kashmir to Kanyakumari; while NCUI would weigh their training needs, NCDC would resolve their fund and loan issues”, underlined Satyanarayan.
Radha Mohan Singh is coming on Wednesday is certain, though and the media has been invited. The discussion would focus on their training needs, their need for funds or any other things that hamper their growth, said Satyanarayan to Indian Cooperative.
