National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE) of NCUI conducted a Leadership Development Programme for Chairpersons and Directors of women cooperatives last week in the NCUI Campus in Delhi.
About 27 women participants from UP, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka took part in the programme. The objective of the programme was to develop managerial and entrepreneurship skill among the participants.
The participants interacted among themselves and discussed challenges and issues facing cooperative societies.
Different subjects had been designed into a training capsule for women cooperatives.
N.Satyanarayana, Chief Executive, NCUI who inaugurated the programme said cooperatives could play an important role in empowering women by increasing their income as well as involving them in a number of small and big cooperative activities.
Dr. V.K. Dubey, Director, NCCE also addressed the participants and said knowledge gained by the participants should be utilised in their work place. Anant Dubey, Asstt. Director, NCCE coordinated the programme successfully.
Participants were also satisfied and wanted more and more of such training programmes in the future, read a press release from NCCE.
