NCCE recently organised a Training Program on Cooperation and Cooperative Management for Officers of IFFCO at IFFCO Plant, Kalol and at IFFCO Plant, Kandla, Gujarat, says an NCUI press release.
About 26 participants at Kalol and 29 participants at Kandla attended the program.
The objective of the programs was to acquaint the participants with the functions of cooperative organizations, management and their development and sensitize them to the cooperative aspects.
The events at Kalol and at Kandla were inaugurated by S. Mohan, DGM (EPC), IFFCO Plant Kalol, and A.K. Sharma JCM [Marketing] IFFCO respectively.
The salient points discussed during the training programs at both the places included History of Cooperative Movement in India, its contribution to the Indian Economy, Principles, Values, Ideology and Philosophy of Cooperatives, Problems & Challenges before the Cooperative Movement in India
Topics such as Cooperative Management – Special Focus on IFFCO Management and its Structure. Special features of Cooperative Organisations (How Cooperative Organization is different to a Company) were discussed.
Participants also debated threadbare on issues such as Salient Features of Multi State Cooperative Act, 2002 and 97th Constitutional Amendments and Recent Changes in Cooperative Law, Marketing Strategies of IFFCO, Fertiliser, Policies and Subsidy etc.
Several top ranking functionaries of cooperatives and experts on cooperative affairs attended the programs.
