A Leadership Development Programme for Chairmen / Directors of Dairy Cooperatives of Sikkim was held at National Centre for Cooperative Education, NCUI , New Delhi from 19 to 21 December.
40 participants benefited from this programme. The prime objective of the programme was to develop Leadership as well as capacity building of the participants so that they can provide good governance and professional management to their dairy cooperatives.
The participants were provided with opportunities to exchange views among themselves as well as directed in discussing challenges and issues facing their cooperative societies. They were als given knowledge about the dairy sector through a special capsule.
Inaugurating the programme, Dr. V. K. Dubey, Director, NCCE said Education & Training is a continuous process and suggested it would serve their members in competitive ways.
He added the Cooperative Dairy Sector is playing a very important role in transformation of socio-economic conditions of the weaker communities.
Rajeev Sharma, Deputy Director, NCCE coordinated the programme and participants found the programme useful.
