NCUI: NCCE trains 41 women cooperators

NCCE of National Cooperative Union of India organized recently a three day training course at New Delhi for up-gradation of knowledge and skill of women cooperative leaders of the country.

“The aim was to refresh and hone their leadership skills by educating them on various aspects of governance like cooperative ideology, role of women in development of cooperatives, understanding financial statements of a society etc,” claimed a mail from the apex body.

In addition, relevant topics like skill development, use of information technology, social media, methods of cashless transactions, communication skills, entrepreneur skills for income generation, role of Rashtriya Mahila Kosh were also discussed at length by experts, the press release issued by NCUI noted.

41 elected women board of directors from many states and sectors across the country participated in the training course.

While inaugurating the program Dr. V.K. Dubey, Director (NCCE) said such programs will equip the participants with the requisite skills, including managerial and technical know-how and empower them to lead their societies towards a bright future.

N. Satyanarayana, Chief Executive, NCUI who interacted with the participants during the training course said women cooperators’ participation in the program would enable them to start income generating activities, empower themselves and improve the workings of their societies.
