National Cooperative Union of India’s educational arm NCCE recently organized in New Delhi a three day Leadership Development Program for Chairmen and Directors of Dairy Cooperatives.
The program was in continuation of NCCE offering cooperative management training and leadership development for strengthening cooperative unions and federations. The event was attended by 26 participants from Dairy Cooperatives Societies and Unions, informs a press release issued by NCUI.
Addressing the participants, Dr. V.K. Dubey, explained to them the significance of Dairy cooperatives and their effective practices for cooperators in India. Ms. Sandhya Kapoor DD NCCE thanked all the participants for coming to NCCE to gain knowledge on the Dairy farming practices.
The training program included sessions on Roles and responsibility of Board of Directors by Ms. Sandhya Kapoor, Cooperative Values and Principles by Mr. Anant Dubey and Dairy Development Schemes of NCDC for Cooperative Development by Sh. SK Tucker, Advisor, NCDC.
As part of the program, the participants made a Study visit to Mother Dairy, Patparganj Plant, New Delhi. The plant visit was a knowledge sharing experience for the participants and their two coordinators for the Study visit, Ms. Rajni Sharma and Mr. Anant Dubey.
Subsequently, the participants had a meeting with cooperative leaders of Balod District Cooperative Union who inspired the participants with their life experiences in cooperatives and views on improvements in Dairy Cooperatives in India.
The meeting was chaired by Shri.N.Satyanarayana, CEO, NCUI and Dr. V.K. Dubey who thanked the two leaders and provided valuable information on the role and progress of Dairy Cooperatives in India.
The training program witnessed inspiring lectures by Dr. Bhushan Tyagi, Astt. Commissioner, AHDD , GoI on Schemes and Policies of GoI for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development and Cooperative Management – Special focus on Dairy Cooperatives by Dr. V.K.Dubey, Director, NCCE.
Ms. Rajni Sharma, Course Coordinator of the program anchored the proceedings.
