The apex body of co-ops in the country, NCUI is all set to celebrate the All India Cooperative Week at its headquarters in Delhi, in which B.L. Verma, Union Minister of State for Cooperation is expected to be the Chief Guest.
The theme of the 68th All India Cooperative Week is “Prosperity Through Cooperation” (Sahakar Se Samriddhi), which was coined earlier by the govt at the time of the formation of a new ministry of Cooperation at the Centre.
“The basic objective of the celebrations is to highlight the achievements of the cooperative sector and chalk out a future strategy for strengthening the cooperative movement. This year’s celebrations have added significance in the wake of creation of a separate Ministry of Cooperatives recently”, reads a press release mailed by the apex body.
This year’s Cooperative Week is special, with NCUI organizing a Cooperative Fair from 14th to 20th November, 2021. The Cooperative Fair will have more than 70 stalls of cooperatives/SHGs from all parts of the country exhibiting cooperative products of diverse types.
With the NCUI Haat receiving widespread positive response as a selling platform for products of lesser known coops/SHGs, NCUI has taken a step forward organizing Cooperative Fair which will this time, strengthen cooperative branding, claimed NCUI in its release.
The Inaugural function of the 68th All India Cooperative Week and Cooperative Fair – 2021 will be held on November 15, 2021 at 02:00 p.m. The function will be held in the NCUI Auditorium, 3, Siri Institutional Area, Khel Gaon Marg, New Delhi, informs NCUI.
In accordance with the thematic areas of Cooperative Week celebrations, NCUI during the Cooperative Week celebrations is organizing two important webinars. The webinar on ‘Ease of Doing Business for Cooperatives’ will be held on 16th November, 2021 at 11.00am. The second webinar on ‘Strengthening Health Cooperatives’ will be held on 18th November, 2021 at 11.00 am.
Based on the Cooperative Week celebrations guidelines prepared by NCUI, cooperative organizations at national, state and district levels organize various events, conferences, seminars, workshops, etc during the Cooperative Week. Many youth-specific events will be organized during the Cooperative Week celebrations to popularize cooperative models amongst the youth.
The nomenclature of all the seven days of the Cooperative Week celebrations is as follows;

15-11-2021 : Cooperative Marketing, Consumers, Processing and Value Addition.
16-11-2021 : Ease of doing Business for Cooperatives.
17-11-2021 : Role of Cooperatives in Fostering Innovation, Employment Generation and Bringing in Professionalism.
18-11-2021 : Entrepreneurship Development and Strengthening Public – Private – Cooperative Partnership.
19-11-2021 : Cooperatives for Youth, Women and Weaker sections 2
20-11-2021 : Financial Inclusion, Digitalization and Social Media through Cooperatives
