E Narayanan, an important NCUI Governing Council Member from Kerala died last week in Malaysia. He had gone there to attend a cooperative meeting, read a NCUI release.
In a condolence message, Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, President, NCUI said that the apex body has lost one of its senior and self-less cooperators who continued to contribute towards strengthening the cooperative movement till his last breath.
Dr Yadav expressed loss of words in describing Narayanan’s pioneering contribution to the cooperative movement in India. He recalled his valuable guidance on various occasions which was helpful in taking crucial decisions related to NCUI’s policy matters.
“With Shri Narayanan death, a big void has been created in the cooperative movement in India”, he said.
Shri Narayanan has been the architect of the cooperative movement in Kerala. His contribution in the fields of hospital, rubber cooperatives, etc. has inspired the cooperative leadership in other parts of the country.
