Rajinder Sharma, Chairman, RICM, Chandigarh inaugurated this programme with his key note speech. He said that housing cooperatives had a vast and bright scope in this era because centre govt. had annouced to provide house for every person. Leaders of these cooperatives need to seach their ground to work and serve. Our cooperatives need to enter into construction business and adopt the new techniques to construct the houses with precast and pre fabricated material. The low and competitive cost houses through these cooperative could present a model and attract the people.
Harjit Kumar, Regional Director HUDCO, Chandigarh gave presentation on various Financial schemes of HUDCO for housing Cooperatives.
Sh. Lalit Kumar, DGM,NHB deliberated on the recent trends in housing and the role and support of NHB in housing business.
Sh. B.D.Yadav, Faculty member of institue discussed the cooperative principles and the need of cooperative values in housing cooperatives
Ms. Mandeep Walia ,faculty member ,deliberated on the Business Environment of housing cooperatives and SWOT analysis for Housing Cooperative Societies. She also discussed importance of effective leadership and leadership styles.
Sh.A.S.Khaira,Advocate ,Punjab & Haryana High Court, discussed on the role and responsibilities of management board members for the growth of cooperatives.
Participants visited Punjab Cooperative Housing Federation,Chandigarh and studied its modus of working.
