NCCE organised a week-long online Refresher Course on Cooperative Policy and Development for lecturers and professors of Indian colleges and Universities recently, informs a press release from the apex co-op body.
The purpose of the course was to update these cooperative trainers about the recent trends and developments in the cooperative sector.
Eminent speakers ranging from Managing Directors of various national level apex organisations like Fishcopfed, Sugar federation, Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank took part in the sessions.
Several subject experts from International Cooperative Alliance and various Universities apprised the participants of recent trends and developments in different cooperative sectors.
Every session was concluded by a question and answer session in which the participants raised queries for their clear understanding and utilization at their work places.
The program was inaugurated virtually by prof Dr. J.P. Mishra, Vice chancellor Rama Chandra Chandravanshi University, Jharkhand in the presence of N. Satyanarayana, Chief Executive, NCUI. Dr. V. K. Dubey, Executive Director, NCUI and Centre Head NCCE was also present on the occasion.
Vice- Chancellor Dr. J. P. Mishra in his address emphasised the need for professionalism in the cooperative sector in the 21st century as cooperatives have to prove their credibility in the market economy.
