NCCE trains UCB cooperators on digital banking

National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE) of NCUI conducted a Leadership Development Programme for Urban Cooperative Bank & Credit Sector of India last week in Delhi at NCUI’s headquarters.

The proramme was aimed at developing their leadership and managerial skills with special focus on cashless & digital banking. About 33 participants from five states like Rajasthan, MP, Delhi, Orissa and Maharashtra participated in this programme.

The participants were also provided with a platform to interact among themselves and discuss challenges and issues as well as their solutions for proper functioning of cooperatives. The communication & Leadership Skills for Board of Directors are very important to achieve the targets and providing satisfactory services to the members. Therefore, different subjects were incorporated in the training capsule for the banking sector, claimed NCCE Head V K Dubey..

Inaugurating the programme N. Satyanarayana, Chief Executive, NCUI said Education & Training is a continuous process. He also said the Cooperative Banking sector is playing a very important role in providing loans to the small businessmen and weaker sections to help them start their enterprises. Now a days the urban and T/C have potential to compact with the private and nationalised banks but it is needed to improve their services with innovative technology and professional management.

Yogesh Sharma, Director, NAFCUB was also present on this occasion. Some of the topics covered in this programme included Digital Banking, E-banking, Positivity for Work Performance on Cooperative Banking, Cashless Transactions – Role of Technology in E-banking etc.

In his valedictory remarks, Dr. V.K. Dubey, Director, NCCE said the knowledge gained by the participants must be applied in their work places for better prospects. Anant Dubey, Assistant Director, NCCE coordinated the programme successfully.
