In the wake of the corona pandemic, NCCE – the education wing of NCUI, has begun conducting scores of programs online including webinars for board of directors & employees of cooperatives to help them in understanding the nuances of cooperative ideology and management.
These programs range from 3 days to 3 months. With changing times and requirements of the cooperative sector, the Center designs need-based training programs to enable cooperatives to be more professional and relevant.
One such program is the 4-weeks Certificate Course on “Financial Accounting & Taxation”, informs the press release issued by the organization.
Cooperators from all over the country have been enthusiastically attending these online programs and have found them effective. Hence, NCCE has launched this program online from 11 June – 10 July, 2020 in which 68 participants from various states of India & 5 from Nepal have joined the course.
The participants are working in the accounting/finance & taxation departments of their respective societies, a few management students of Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidylaya Sonipat have also joined this course to use this lockdown period productively.
The program is being conducted on CISCO Webex platform. 2 hours sessions are being conducted daily (Monday to Friday) from 11 am to 1pm in the form of lecture(s), discussions, Q&A, small exercises, daily assignments etc.
Soft copies of reading materials & assignments are also being regularly shared with the participants. At the end of the course an online examination will be taken after which the certificate will be awarded to the successful participants.
The course is being coordinated by Mrs. Sandhya Kapoor, Dy. Director, NCCE & the core faculty is Mr. Anurag Dang, Asst. Director (Finance), NCUI who is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
