The educating arm of apex body NCUI known as NCCE conducted a Leadership Development Training Programme for Chairman and Directors for marketing cooperatives of India consisting of 37 participants from the Country of Nepal and states like Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
The prime objective of the programme was to identify the role of board of Directors, qualities of good leadership and good governance and to provide a participation platform to interact with their counterparts from all over the country and thus facilitate learning.
Programme was inaugurated by Dr. V. K. Dubey, Director, NCCE, he narrated that all Cooperative Marketing Societies is to promote the habit of value added services in the areas of sales and purchases. He also stressed that there is a need of good governance and adoption of information technology in the Cooperative Marketing Societies which enables them to function more effectively.
Besides these, deliberations were made by the experts from Government of India and different marketing sectors had related discussions about various aspects particularly value added services, assessment of financial interpretations, qualities and functions of Cooperative Leaders, difficulties & problems and bring out the strategic solutions for the development of agriculture marketing and cooperative societies.
The participants also got inputs from the programmes about latest technologies, responsibilities in the management of Cooperative Marketing Societies & challenges come across for working of the societies. The programme was concluded on 20th November 2015. The officials from Government of India, Managing Directors from different National level Organizations and Faculty of NCCE were also present. Dr. A.R. Srinath Deputy Director & Course Coordinator proposed a vote of thanks on the occasion.
