National Cooperative Union of India, an apex organisation of the cooperative movement, will be organising the inaugural function of All India Cooperative Week at the NCUI premises where B.L. Verma, Union Minister of State for Cooperation will be the Chief Guest. NCUI President, Dileep Sanghani will preside over the function.
A statue of Late Ch. Brahm Prakash, the first Chief Minister of Delhi, whose contribution to the cooperative movement, is remembered by all, will be unveiled on the occasion by the Minister.
Verma will also inaugurate Cooperative Fair, where stalls of more than 70 Cooperatives and SHGs of the country will exhibit their products. The Fair is being organised by NCUI Haat, which was inaugurated last year. NCUI Haat, is a unique selling platform of the lesser known cooperatives/SHGs, which functions from NCUI premise, claims a release from the NCUI.
The Cooperative Week organised by NCUI, is celebrated every year from 14th to 20th November, 2022. It is an occasion to highlight the achievements of the cooperative movement and chalk out future strategies. The theme of this year’s “All India Cooperative Week Celebrations is “India@75” Growth of Cooperatives and Future Ahead”.
The basic objective of the celebrations is to highlight the achievements of the cooperative sector and chalk out a future strategy for strengthening the cooperative movement.
The cooperatives all over the world have triumphed in the times of Covid crisis. Based on their principles and values, they have left no stone unturned in helping the people in crisis, and also ensuring that their services are not affected.
The cooperatives including IFFCO, Amul, Nafed, KRIBHCO, Campco and other state level & district level co-ops have planned to organize events in their own style.
The nomenclature of all the seven days of the Cooperative Week celebrations are as follows;
14-11-2021: Ease-of-doing Business for Cooperatives, GeM, and Export Promotion
15-11-2021: Cooperative Marketing, Consumers, Processing and Value Addition
16-11-2021: Mainstreaming Cooperative Education, Professional Management, and Re-orienting Training
17-11-2021: Role of Cooperatives in Fostering Innovation, Promoting Start-Ups, and Technology Upgradation
18-11-2021: Entrepreneurship Development and Strengthening Public–Private– Cooperative Partnership
19-11-2021: Cooperatives for Youth, Women, Weaker Sections, and Health
20-11-2021: Financial Inclusion, Digitalization of PACS and Strengthening Cooperative Database
