Readers may be aware that the post of chief executive was lying vacant for nearly two years and had raised many eyebrows in the cooperative world.
Mr Chandra Pal Singh said that the name of the selected person would be known to media by evening of March 28. The four member appointment committee would place its report before the Governing Council. If a member of committee has dissented, even that would be put on table.GC would finalize the appointment after delibrations.
The Appointment Panel consisted of four persons which included NCUI President, Central Registrar, NCUI Vice President G H Amin and former Chief Executive of the organization, B D Sharma.
Many people have questioned the presence of B D Sharma in the Panel who according to sources, did not qualify to participate in the selection process as an expert.
The process had hit a road block due to internal resistance within the selectors’ panel. But now it seems that the differences have been resolved.
All well that ends well!
