The newly elected NAFCUB President Dr Mukund Abhyankar has been selected as member of National Council for Co-operative Training (NCCT) which is a training arm of the apex cooperative organization, National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI).
Dr Abhyankar who is also the Chairman Emeritus of the Cosmos Co-operative Bank was informed of his new role through a press release from Dr. Ashishkumar Bhutani, Joint-Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Co-operation, Government of India. This membership is for three years.
About 21 distinguished personalities from various organisations around the country have been selected as the members of NCCT.
“NCCT” is a renowned national level training institute working under the Department of Agriculture and Co-operation, Government of India. State level institutes imparting training related to co-operative sector are working under “NCCT”. Vaikunth Mehta Training Institute of Pune is one such institute working under “NCCT”.
Talking to the Indian Cooperative NCCT Secretary-General Mohan Mishra confirmed the membership offered to Dr Abhyankar. With an experienced hand like Dr Abhyankar, NCCT is sure to benefit, he added.
NCUI Director General Dr Dinesh also welcomed Dr Abhyankar in NCCT fold and told Indian Cooperative that training people is the most important assignment before NCCT and we wish to have jewels of cooperative associated with it.
