The National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE) recently organized an Online Leadership Development Programme for Women Cooperatives and SHGs of Madhya Pradesh from the first week of February, 2021.
More than 100 women co-operators from over 40 districts of the state joined this programme which was conducted on the Webex platform. This programme was conducted in collaboration with Avantika Credit Cooperative Society, Bhopal whose chairperson Mrs. Asha Sengar is also the member of the NCUI Committee on Women Empowerment.
Arvind Bhadoriya, Minister of Cooperation of MP inaugurated this programme and appreciated the efforts of NCUI in empowering the state’s women co-operators by training them on the important aspects of managing their cooperative societies and SHGs.
Bhadoriya was happy to note that the programme was being organized online – a step towards realizing the Prime Minister’s dream of a “Digital India”. He exhorted the women participants to take benefit of various schemes of the government for Start-ups so that they can be economically independent. He assured the women cooperators of his continuous and unstinting support in making them self-reliant and empowered.
N. Satyanarayana, Chief Executive, NCUI while welcoming the minister and the participants apprised of the activities of NCUI/NCCE during the lockdown period and stressed on the importance of human resources.
Satyanarayan said that professional leadership is crucial in making the cooperative movement of the country a success.
Over the 3 days of the programme topics such as cooperative values & principles, diversification for increasing income of women cooperatives/SHGs, understanding financial statements, registering and managing FPOs, handling digital transactions etc. were discussed by various subject experts with the participants. At the end of each session the participants clarified their queries.
