Narendra Damodardas Modi, Prime Minister of India turned 65 on Thursday. As leaders from across the world greeted Modi on his birthday, cooperators back home also wished him a long life.
One of the firsts to greet Modi from the cooperative sector was IFFCO Managing Director Dr US Awasthi. Modi was born on September 17, 1950 to a family of grocers in Vadnagar, Mehsana district in Gujarat. He is the 15th Prime Minister of India. He received greetings on his 65th birthday from all over the world 
Modi’s official Twitter account, which has close to 15 million followers, displayed colourful balloons floating across the page to mark his birthday.
Besides his cabinet colleagues and political associates, President Pranab Mukherjee , Chinese President Xi Jinping, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev were among those who wished Modi.
