Manish Srivastava, Commissioner of Cooperation and RCS informed that earlier the website developed by cooperative department has won e-governance award at national level in Vizag during 2013-14 for its innovative features and ease of information to stakeholders. And now this mobile app on cooperation is a shot in the arm of a vibrant cooperative movement.
He pointed out that, however, there is a need to integrate notification feature in app so that cooperative department circulars and other essential services can also be made available to all co-operators at real time.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Dinesh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a vision to make India a digital country and this may count as a move in that direction. He felt that if true digitalization takes place ,it would empower 25 crore co-operative members.
Mr Arun Singh Tomar said that this is first mobile app in cooperative education and training. This mobile app has made it possible that when people cannot go to centre, learning centre can come to them.
