The leading cooperatives of India did not lag behind so far as celebrating Hindi Diwas is concerned.
While Manoj Tiwary visited the apex cooperative body NCUI on this occasion, IFFCO MD stayed on in social media throughout the day only through this medium.
Awasthi tweeted to convey to his followers the role of Hindi in national development. He said Hindi connects us to farm and farmers. Wishing his followers MD vowed to take the language to global level.
His all tweets were in Hindi on the occasion of the Hindi diwas and it always ended with the expression:Hindi me bolo( Speak in Hindi)
NCUI celebrated “Hindi Diwas” along with Small Farmers’ Agri-Business Consortium (SFAC) and Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) in the presence of eminent Bhojpuri Singer and Member of Lok Sabha Manoj Tewari and Anshumaan Tewari, Editor, India Today. Those present included Dr. Dinesh, NCUI, Dr Tarun Bajaj, GM, APEDA, Sapna Nigam, Director, SFAC and others.
September 14 is considered as Hindi Diwas to propogate the language and its cultural heritage. Hindi is spoken as a native language by 258 million people and is recognized as the 4th largest language in the world.
In 1949 the Constituent Assembly of India had adopted Hindi written in Devanagari script as the official language of the Republic of India. It was 1965 when it became an official language in India.
