National Cooperative Development Corporation MD Sundeep Nayak met Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani to discuss strengthening of cooperative movement in state and the role NCDC can play in this.
Veteran cooperator Dileep Sanghani accompanied Nayak in this meeting which took place last week in Gandhinagar. MD also apprised Chief Minister about the NCDC projects in the state.
Nayak presented NCDC mission mode approach of Sahakar 22 for a New India by 2022 and sought support for a vibrant partnership in cooperative sector in future too.
Later, Nayak shared the details of meeting through social media “It was my privilege to call on Shri Vijay Rupani Ji, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat at CMO Gandhinagar today 7 August 2019 and to learn about the great visionary transformations under way”.
“Presented NCDC mission mode approach of Sahakar 22 for a New India by 2022 and sought his blessings for a vibrant partnership in cooperative sector”, he further wrote.
One of the followers of Nayak on social media wrote, “Past many years Gujarat government has not availed any assistance from NCDC I wish good luck if they start availing funds from NCDC for cooperative”.
It is to be noted that NCDC has recently come up with a youth-friendly scheme “Yuva Sahakar-Cooperative Enterprise Support and Innovation Scheme” for attracting youths to cooperative business ventures.
NCDC, being the most preferred financial institution in the world of cooperatives, has embarked on Sahakar 22, a Mission for Doubling Farmers’ Income by 2022.
Besides giving loans to cooperative, NCDC is working on an elaborate strategy to strengthen primary level co-ops by organizing co-op training. It has ambitious plan for the year 2019-20.
