Government nominee Ashok Thakur has reacted strongly to the charges leveled be NAFED Vice President Sunil Singh earlier in these columns. Sunil said Ashok Thakur browbeats NAFED officials. In response Thakur has penned a letter reacting to charges leveled against him.

Dear Editor
I have gone through the article written on your portal. I would have been very happy if you would have taken my statement before publishing it. Please note regarding the views of your portal written quoting Shri Sunil Kumar Singh. I can understand the pain of my friend as his close officers are under my scanner. There are lot of serious allegation and written complaints against them and as well as his associates.
There are allegations like demanding money to release the deposit of traders which is traders’ own money. I have raised question on these issues and ultimately the traders got their money back after a long time without valid reason.
Due to my letter the case is opened against his near and dears which cost them in hundred of crores.
I have also written to the government to take stern action on concealment of facts from the government. In that matter also some close officers of the honorable director are falling under my radar.
I have also not allowed some members to favor one particular officer who was responsible for corrupt practice. These honourable members must have promised to save him let what come but it was foiled by me singlehanded. It must have been painful for some people, I know it.
Further I have given dissent against the misuse of Ujwa gram sabha land which ultimately give loss to the god father of dear director who is also a chairman of the organisation which going to lose maximum due to my dissent.
I am continuously raising the corruption issue and pointing out the people those are responsible for the bankruptcy of NAFED and keep on doing so. Let people say anything I don’t bother as I am with truth and keep on doing so till success.
Sunil Singh must know that I have every right to ask for papers and details regarding the government business and nobody can stop me from doing so. It is my responsibility to ensure the practice of fair business in the NAFED especially PSS and Prize stabilization scheme and other government schemes which are undertaken for the benefits of the farmers and consumers of my country.
In future, I will be happy if anything is publish related to me is published after taking my views before publishing. This will be good for high credibility of your portal.
