Candidates representing different panels of Maharashtra based Nashik Merchants Cooperative Bank are busy campaigning to woo voters in the election slated for 23rd December 2018.
There are three panels including Sahakar Panel, Pragati Panel and Namrata Panel contesting the election.
If Sahakar Panel seeks the support from former deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal, Pragati Panel candidates visited the Hindu temple in Ozar town in Nashik district of Maharashtra urging people to support them in the election.
Meanwhile, talking to this correspondent one of the candidates of Sahakar Panel Ajay Bramhecha who is named as presidential candidate said, “We are holding several meetings across different areas of Maharashtra and seeking voters’ invaluable support. If we win the election, our first priority will be to control NPA which is currently hovering around 33 percent”.
“As it is difficult for us to reach all the 1.76 lakhs voters, we are taking the help of social media in a big way to disseminate our voice. Some candidates from the Pragati Panel allegedly involved in irregularities are also contesting the election but we are sure they will not win.”, he said with a sense of satisfaction.
Bramhecha assured his electors if elected he and his board members would do their best to address all their grievances.
Earlier, the team of the Sahakar Panel met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Chief Raj Thackeray at his residence at Krishna Kunj, Mumbai.
Readers would recall that a total of 82 candidates are left in the fray; 70 from the general category, 5 from SC/ST category and 7 from women category.
“The members of the bank are entitled to vote in the election of 21 candidates i.e. 18 from General category, 1 from SC/ST category and 2 from women category”, he added.
According to the election program, “Polling and counting of votes would be held on 23rd December 2018 and 26th December 2018 respectively. The result would be announced on 28th December.
