Karnataka based Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Producers Union limited (DMKUL) which sells its products under brand ‘Nandini’ is active at ground zero to help the needy in the crisis created by the corona virus in all possible ways and providing additional incentives to its member societies.
Sharing the details of works at the ground level DMKUL President Raviraja Hegde said, “In the current situation, we are providing the additional incentives to the dairy cooperative societies linked to our union. Apart from distributing masks, sanitizers and other protective gear, we are also distributing butter milk among the needy of society”, he added.
Earlier, the union had made a contribution of Rs 50 lakh towards the CM relief fund in order to help the state government fight against the coronavirus. The cheque was handed over to Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.
DKMUL is procuring over 4.5 Lakh liter milk per day and has an area of operation in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada.
