The big changes proposed in the multi state cooperative societies act have finally gone for second opinion. In a major victory of sorts Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav and other cooperative leaders lobbied hard with the political leaders cutting across party lines for referring the bill to Parliamentary Committee.
Talking to Indian Cooperative.com, Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, President NCUI confirmed the fact that the amendment bill has been referred to Standing Committee.
Now the committee will receive representation from various cooperative leaders and decide over the issue, a satisfied NCUI President said.
Earlier, cooperative leaders were divided on the issue with some in favour of change while others opposed to it.
