Delegates from across the states have travelled all the way to participate in the 34th AGM of Kribhco which was held in the NCUI’s auditorium. Entire Board was present on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the Vice-Chairman and the man behind the show Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav assured the assemble gathering that Kribhco would always stand by them. Lamenting the limitation of the cooperative federation Dr Yadav reminded the members that quota of urea is fixed by the Central government and not by them. We give you as much as we are allowed to, he added.
But Chandra Pal emphasized on the need to strengthen cooperative movement and wanted full participation of members in this bid. Poorest person of the country could be helped only through cooperative, he pontificated.
Bharat Bhai of Kuch, Gujarat complained of the lack of urea in his area. You are helping all other parts of the country but you are ignoring Kucch. We have also not visited Kribhco plants in the last 5 years, he lodged his complained in the AGM.
Sartar Singh, Chairman of HAFED, Haryana and a delegate of Kribhco congratulated Kribhco management for helping farmers escape starvation. Singh also emphasized on adopting national policy of organic products launched in the year 2005.
Shashi Kant Dubey of Chattisgarh emphasized on the need to insurance of farmers. Arvinder Singh Tomar of Markfed, MP exhorted Kribhco to focus on the urea need of Chambal area.
On this occasion Kribhco also bestowed Sahkarita Vibhushan award on G T Devegowda and Parthi Bhatol.
