Kribhco: All outgoing board members get elected; Boda gets entrapped

The list after scrutiny and withdrawal in the run up to the BoD elections of Kribhco has been published on Monday. The list makes it clear that except Vaghajibhai Boda, everyone stands elected.

The Monday list declared Dr Chandra Pal Singh, Paresh Patel, Sudhakar Chowdhary and Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat winners. Earlier, we had reported about the victory of Bijender Singh, Sunil Kumar Singh and R Rajendra in these columns.

This leaves the old man of the old team Vaghajibhai Boda, as the only one to face voting. Some say the line-up for the ongoing Kribhco election has crystalized. The fight is between Congress and BJP.

The fight is between the outgoing director Vaghajibhai Boda who is a Congressman and Maganlal Dhanjibhai who belongs to the BJP. They both hail from Gujarat.

Elections would be held on 9th January 2020 at NCUI, New Delhi.

Sharing the information with Indian Cooperative, VSR Prasad, ED (CR & Mktg.), Kribhco assisting officer to the returning officer said, “The final list is out and there would be election on one seat. There are nine constituencies from which nine directors are to be elected but after the final list 8 candidates have been elected unopposed as directors and the fight is between the outgoing director Vaghajibhai Boda and Maganlal Dhanjibhai.

“Kribhco outgoing President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh, Nafed Chairman Bijendra Singh, R Rajendra from Karnataka State Coop Mktg, federation Limited, V. Sudhakar Chowdary, Pareshbhai R Patel, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat have been elected unopposed as directors on the board of Kribhco”, said VSR Prasad, who is assisting the RO.

Earlier, during the nomination several heavyweights including former minister Mohanbhai Kundariya, Gujarat Cabinet Minister Jayesh Patel and others have come out in support of Maganbhai Dhanjibhai who is contesting the Kribhco election for the first time.

The counting of votes would be done immediately after the poll and the result would be announced soon after the counting. A meeting of the newly constituted BoD of Kribhco will be held in the committee room of NCUI for the purpose of electing Chairman and Vice Chairman.
