KRIBHCO: About 20 nominations filed

kribhcoThe February 12 election of the fertilizer cooperative giant KRIBCO gathered momentum on Friday with droves of cooperators led by Chandra Pal Singh Yadav starting from August Kranti Marg office of NCUI  to Noida office of Kribhco. They started off as soon as the names of successful candidates for NCCF Board were announced by election officer S D Induria.

“Catch me at Kribhco at around I pm as I am going to file nomination there”, Chanda Pal Singh informed this correspondent at NCUI headquarters in Delhi on Friday amidst hectic backroom negotiations for the two top posts of NCCF.

Some of those who filed nominations at Kribhco were V R Patel, the current Chairman, Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, Vice-Chairman, Dr Sunil Kumar Singh, Chairman of Biscomaun, Bhanwar Singh Sekhawat from Madhya Pradesh, Sudhakar Chaudhary from Andhra Pradesh, Shailja Devi Nikam from Jalgaon, Paresh Patel from Gujarat and some others. There were 20 nominations in all.

The scrutiny of nominations would be done on Monday and the list of valid nominations after the withdrawal would be put up in the evening same day, informed the Election Officer Dr M L Khurana who is busy in Goa attending some International conference.

But I would back by Monday to oversee everything personally and in my absence I have authorized Mr VRS Prasad the Additional MD of Kribhco to receive nominations, Dr Khurana informed Indian Cooperative.

About 20 nominations have been filed out of which 11 candidates would finally make it to the Board. The number of candidates in the race would be known only after the processes of scrutiny and withdrawal are completed by Monday evening.

Cooperative organizations usually have winners by intense negotiation rather than by election. The charm of persuasive tactics is employed in a big way in the last minute to reduce or eliminate the competition from each constituency as seen recently in the case of NCCF.
