The cooperative conglomerate-Kribhco rocked as an organization when it was awarded the Second Prize by “14th National Award for Excellence in Cost Management 2016”, its CGM G.P.Rao bagging the CMA Achiever Award.
Kribhco made a hat trick as it was the third consecutive year when the fertilizer cooperative was able to win this award. Earlier, in the years 2014 and 2015 also it had bagged first prize under the same category.
“Kribhco, which is in the business of manufacturing and marketing Agri-inputs such as fertilizers and seeds, has been awarded for its efforts in implementation of innovative and effective tools in the field of cost management. ICAI, a statutory body under the Act of Parliament has recognized us at the national level”, read a press release from Kribhco.
The award is in recognition of the fact that Kribhco is employing best practices in the field of Cost Management, say officials.
The award was presented by Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs to Rajan Chowdhry, Finance Director and G.P.Rao, CGM(F&A), Hazira Plant at a function held at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi last week.
The jury for the award was headed by Honorable Justice Dr.A.S.Anand, former Chief Justice of India and former Chairman, National Human Rights Commission and consisted of various eminent personalities from the fields of economy & Industry.
Further G.P.Rao, CGM (F&A) was presented the CMA Achiever Award under the category of “Private – Manufacturing-Large-scale” from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. The award was also presented by the Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
Rao was awarded for his contribution to the Profession of Cost Accountancy and to KRIBHCO in the same function. The jury for this award was headed by Sanjay Jaju, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministery of Road Transport & Highways with various eminent personalities in the fields of economy & Industry.
