Honouring Legends: Satyendra & Senthil bag Kribhco’s top awards

At its 44th Annual General Meeting, held at the NCUI Auditorium in Delhi on Thursday, Kribhco honoured Satyendra Narayan Singh and V.K.S.K Senthil Kumar with its prestigious Sahakarita Shiromani Award and Sahakarita Vibhushan Award, respectively. Singh hails from Bihar, while Kumar is from Tamil Nadu.

The recipient of the Sahakarita Shiromani Award, Satyendra Narayan Singh, is a well-known figure in cooperative circles in Bihar. He served as Chairman of the Bihar State Cooperative Bank Limited from 2003 to 2011 and is currently Chairman of the Central Cooperative Bank Limited.

Singh’s involvement in the cooperative sector spans over four decades. He has been a Director in various key organizations, including the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), Bihar State Industrial Cooperative Federation, and Bihar State Finance Corporation, from 1980 to 2012.

He continues to contribute to the sector as a Director at both the Bihar State Cooperative Bank Limited and BISCOMAUN. On receiving the Sahakarita Shiromani Award, Singh expressed his gratitude to the Kribhco management, especially Chairman Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav.

V.K.S.K. Senthil Kumar, the recipient of the Sahakarita Vibhushan Award, comes from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He has an educational background in both engineering and management, holding a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from P.S.G. College of Technology, Coimbatore, and an MBA in Human Resources from Tamil Nadu Open University.

From 1996 to 2001, Kumar served as Vice-President and Director of the Thudiyalur Cooperative Agricultural Services Ltd. He has also served in various other capacities, such as Councillor, Member of the Education, Parks, and Playground Committee, Member of the Finance and Tax Committee, and Member of the District Planning Committee.

Since 2022, Kumar has been an active Committee Member in the Coimbatore District Agricultural Production initiative, continuing his impactful work in the agriculture and cooperative sectors.

In his speech, Kumar thanked Kribhco for recognizing his contributions. The Sahakarita Vibhushan Awardee has traveled extensively and made significant efforts to bring positive changes to cooperatives in India.

Both awardees were felicitated with a cash prize of Rs 1,01,000, among other honours.
