Co-op Charisma: Kribhco follows suit; to supply Oxygen free of cost

Not lagging behind when it comes to helping countrymen, the second largest co-operative fertilizer Kribhco has followed in IFFCO’s foot-steps and announced setting up of an Oxygen plant at its Hazira unit. The daily production capacity of the medical grade oxygen plant of Surat will be 100 D-type Oxygen Cylinder.

Kribhco officials say that Plant is in the advanced stage and oxygen could be supplied in the next 10-15 days. Like IFFCO, the oxygen of Kribhco would also be free of cost. It would be supplied to Government Hospitals and other needy hospitals. This process will help to mitigate hardship of the people in this tough pandemic time, sighed several co-operators.

In another development, it has also come to be known that Kribhco Fertilizers Limited (KFL) at Shahajahanpur, Uttar Pradesh will also start supplying free of cost oxygens to various hospitals within about next 21 days.

It bears recall that soon after the announcements of the supply of free oxygen to needy by the co-op giants such as IFFCO and Kribhco, several corporates such as Reliance, Vedanta, IOL etc joined the bandwagon. The credit for initiating this healthy competition indeed goes to the co-op titans.

In a related development concerning Kribhco, the second largest producer of urea in the country contributed Rs 1 crore towards Gujarat Chief Minister Relief Fund on Tuesday in its support to fight against the Coronavirus.

The contribution cheque was handed over by NCUI President Dileepbhai Sanghani, Paresh Patel, one of the directors of Kribhco to Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani at his residence in Gandhinagar.
