In a bid to speed up rural development in Rajasthan, the state Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has Okayed the establishment of a State Cooperative Micro-finance and Development Corporation for connecting self-help groups and banks in the countryside.
An amount of Rs 100 crore has been earmarked for the outfit in the current state budget.
Sources say even if the amount allocated is peanuts, the move being a step in right direction may have positive ramifications.
