Coming second time to Gujarat within a month IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi visited Rajkot and Kandala on weekend and expounded at length on the long term benefits of cashless transactions to farmers and cooperators alike.
Rajkot was his 12th destination in the Farmers’ Connect campaign where, in a series of photographs posted on social media, he is seen busy discussing about cashless economy with farmers.
In his tweet he wrote “Farmer can go for #CashLess transactions with help of mobile. #MobileBanking at #50yearsofIFFCO event in #Rajkot @narendramodi @PMOIndia”
Besides, Awasthii also inaugurated a cooperative exhibition and urged upon farmers to refrain from using excessive fertilizers.
With MD on move IFFCO held its board meeting second time within a month outside Delhi in Kandala. Its Directors
In the board meeting IFFCO MD exhorted the Board members and elected Directors to involve themselves more and more in the celebrations which will last a year.
The board members prayed for the welfare and prosperity of farmers, fellow cooperators and the entire IFFCO at a temple in Kandla. Awasthi wrote on his tweet wall “In the beginning of the day did worship in Om Sadhna Temple in Kandala. With the board members prayed for the family of IFFCO”.
On this occasion, the board members inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Garden in Kandala Unit. He also visited Kandala Unit with the board members and interacted with the officials.
Readers would recall that in Kalol, on the occasion of kick off of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations IFFCO’s board meeting was held.
