The proximity of the ace co-operator Dileep Sanghani to the Prime Minister is bearing fruits for co-operatives in general and IFFCO in particular. On Tuesday, Sanghani took IFFCO Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar to meet the Prime Minister and explain to him various activities of the co-op titan. Nano emerged as the focus of the conversation.
Known for his articulateness, Kumar explained the growth story of Nano and how Vigyan Kendras and ICAR have come forward to support the Nano experiment. “PM heard with rapt attention when I told him that several Agricultural Universities of the country have lent their support to the idea of Nano fertilizer”, said Kumar to Indian Cooperative.
Ever since the Prime Minister announced the idea of Atma-nirbhar Bharat from the Red Fort, our MD and his team began working to employ technology for novel products. “I told the PM that Nano is a result of his inspiring speeches”, stated Kumar.
Yogendra explained to the Prime Minister how the team IFFCO had been supported by the government through Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya all these four years to achieve this goal. “I said the work on Nano went uninterrupted even during the peak of Corona. And how our team of scientists never ever allowed themselves a moment of rest”, underlined Kumar.
“Prime Minister wanted to know about the field trial of Nano and I said more than 11,000 field trials have taken place so far. I also told him that since its commercial production began, over 2 crore bottles have come to the market”, Kumar said.
“I requested the Prime Minister to dedicate Nano Urea to the nation, and he readily agreed”, said Kumar who was hugely impacted by civility and grace oozing out from Shri Narendra Modi’s behaviour. “It was my first meeting”, added Yogendra.
Yogendra was also thankful to IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani for offering him a chance to meet the Prime Minister and that he could one on one explain various aspects of Nano production to the prime minister.
I did not have the slightest idea of meeting the Prime Minister and had accompanied Sanghanijee to the PM’s office just to give him company. While I was waiting for the meeting of the two leaders to end, I was called in. Sanghanijee introduced me to the PM as the Marketing Director of IFFCO. The PM was curious about Nano and I could explain as much to him as I could in the given time”, concluded Kumar.
Later giving details of the meeting IFFCO MD tweeted “Today, Sh. @Dileep_Sanghani Ji, Chairman #IFFCO along with Sh. @iffcoyogendra Director Marketing, IFFCO met Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Sh. @narendramodi Ji and updated him with IFFCO’s performance. Committed for #SahkarSeSamriddhi #AatmanirbharBharat #AatmanirbharKrishi”.
