Noted artists of the country–from Padma Bhushan Dr Sharda Sinha to Ashok Chakradhar and from Raghubeer Yadav to Chandan Das along with many others would be participating in the IFFCO grand cultural show scheduled to be kicked off today (Thursday) in the second half.
IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi-the brain behind the idea is also slated to be on the show which consists of many sessions with distinct themes. Awasthi would also felicitate the artists at the end of the show, says an IFFCO official.
“Aimed at reducing the lockdown fatigue, among other things, All India Kavi Sammelan, meant exclusively for farmers, cooperators and art lovers is scheduled to be kicked off today from 4 PM to 10 PM. A large number of veterans of the Hindi literary world are participating in the Sammelan”, reads a press release from IFFCO.
The Sammelan organized digitally by IFFCO is the first of its kind. Though the event was earlier scheduled to be organized in the NCUI Auditorium due to Covid-19 and the lockdown following it, the event is being organized digitally.
The Sammelan can be viewed live from home, office or anywhere through IFFCO’s official social media platforms including Youtube, Instagram, Facebook etc using mobile devices, laptop, desktop and smart TV. India’s famous poets, singers and artists will perform in the program.
The blueprint for the Sammelan is designed under the guidance and leadership of IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi, said IFFCO’s Language, Literature and Cultural cell Manager Nalin Vikas.
Talking to Indian Cooperative IFFCO’s Language cell Manager, Nalin said, “There would be four sessions and each session will be of 1.3 hours. The two sessions will be hosted by the renowned anchor Richa Anirudh and the other two by Irfan also a famous anchor”.
“Scores of legends in their respective fields are participating in the Sammelan. The theme of the first session is ‘Vocal for Local’ where Amrendra Nath Tripathi (writer), Mrityujai Singh (lyricist-poet-writer) and Padma Bhushan Dr Sharda Sinha will perform.
The theme of the second session is “Kheti-Kisani” where Nilotpal Mrinal (Winner of Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar), Ram Lakhan Dwivedi (Farmer Poet) and Chandan Tiwari (Indian folk singer) will perform.
Similarly, the theme of the third session is “Kuch Khatti-kuch Meethi” where Chirag Jain (Popular Hasya Kavi) and Dr. Sonroopa Vishal (Poetist) will perform and in the concluding session i.e. the theme of the fourth session is “Saaj aur Awaz” where Raghubeer Yadav (famous Actor, Singer), Padma Shri Ashok Chakradhar (Poet, Essayist, literary critic, writer, director) and Chandan Das (Renowned Ghazal Singer) will perform, Vikas informed this correspondent on the phone.
Besides, all the guests will connect through Zoom App from their homes and we are expecting over 3k people to join the event virtually, he added.
