In a series of tweets Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi of IFFCO has conveyed that the fertilizer cooperative is in the pink with all of its production units exceeding their targets.
MD’s assertion was based on the outcome of a review meeting that took place last Friday at IFFCO’s headquarters in Delhi.
“Glad to share that we had a very result oriented quarterly review meeting yesterday. All manufacturing units of #IFFCO are performing good, great work towards saving #energy”, MD tweeted.
In one of the tweets MD also appreciated the performance of the marketing team which has recently begun working under his Man Friday Yogendra Kumar. Kumar’s brief is to fight exploitation of farmers by fake agencies and supply of substandard products to them.
Yogendra is supposed to work for a balance between the growth of IFFCO and the farmers of the country. His other assignment pertains to reaching out to the hitherto unchartered areas. He has also to focus on the growth of organic products along with neem-coated urea.
Lauding him and the marketing team MD said “Marketing team is also performing well with enthusiasm & will achieve good numbers by end of FY17-18.”
There are reasons for the MD to be happy, said one of the Directors. In the month of January IFFCO’s Paradeep Unit surpassed the targets of production. It was the same with other units such as Kandla or Aonla. It’s a good beginning in the New Year, he underlined. MD also appreciated his team by tweeting about their performance.
And to top it all, the Provident Fund Organization has also ranked IFFCO’s performance high. ”Glad to share that #EPFO has given 600 out of 600 points to #IFFCO in rankings for Nov ’17 on the basis of 6 parameters. Kudos to the HR and Finance team for achieving this feat”, Awasthi tweeted. IFFCO Director R P Singh heads this team.
