From Uttar Pradesh to Rajasthan- that was the detour IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi and his team took on Tuesday to meet farmers. It was first Pali and then Jodhpur- their 92nd and 93rd destinations out of 125 the team has to cover before 3rd November.
A large number of farmers and cooperators assembled in Pali to hear the man who has taken upon himself the job of awakening rural India. And he was assisted at least by two IFFCO Directors in Pali- Mange Lal Danga and Abhay Kumar.
Always the one willing to meet farmers IFFCO MD was quick to tweet” addressed more than 1500 farmers in Pali on the occasion of IFFCO’s Golden Jubilee celebrations.”

In Jodhpur the IFFCO MD felicitated senior farmers and cooperators who had come from remote areas to meet him. Pali cooperative bank’s Chairman also participated in the IFFCO function and told farmers about various loan facilities being offered by co-op banks.
Targeting the youth the MD said digital technology and mobile telephony have made it possible to reach out to remote areas and today’s youth should make the most of it. He also met a larger number of women cooperators and reiterated his resolve to increase their participation in the cooperative movement.
Reciprocating IFFCO’s cooperative feelings, guests congratulated IFFCO on completing 50 glorious years. Rajasthan’s artists played a tune on IFFCO’s theme song” Mitti ki jaan kisan ki shan-IFFCO”.
A free medical check-up camp was organized on this occasion.
