Indian Farmers Fertilizers Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) organized a high voltage event “farmers and Cooperation Convention” in Ahmedabad, Gujarat which was inaugurated by the state Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Several distinguished guests attended the inaugural function.
In his inaugural remarks, Rupani urged farmers to change their mindset so as to replace conventional farming with the modern farming system. Referring to his visit to Israel, he praised remarkable innovations made by Israel in the field of agriculture and hoped Gujarat and the country in general would benefit from these innovations. He cited an easy and effective drip irrigation system as an example.

Rupani also inaugurated the IFFCO exhibition where there were different stalls showcasing products and services for farmers.
IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi tweeted that, “Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has presided over the IFFCO Cooperative Conference and addressed the large gathering of farmers. In his address he talked how IFFCO is benefiting the farmers with new technology”, he added.
Led by IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi many top notch IFFCO officials were present including Gujarat strong man Dileepbhai Sanghani and Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar. They were seen with the chief minister explaining things to him. Hundreds of farmers attended the event.
According to media reports, the chief minister said the state government would encourage farmers to adopt the drip irrigation system for their crops especially for sugarcane crop.
