The figures thrown at the closing of the year brought good news to the entire IFFCO family including its Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi who was monitoring its affairs while recuperating from a minor eye surgery. The review of different departments of the giant farmers’ cooperative done by the accounts department brought cheers among the staffs.
The turnover of the cooperative giant increased despite unfavourable domestic and global atmospheres. It rose to Rs 24700 crore this year thereby earning a profit of Rs 1036 crore before tax. MD congratulated his team for the spectacular performance.
He tweeted “ Congrats 2 entire #IFFCO for performing well vid turnover of INR24700Cr despite #domestic & #global eco scenario in current policy framework.”
The marketing team which was able to reach the target of 111 lakh MT of fertilizer came for appreciation in one of the MD’s tweets. But he stressed once again that IFFCO has not to lose sight of farmers’s interest and the mantra of save the soil.
Dr. U S Awasthi tweeted ”Congrats to #Marketing team 4 reaching 111LakhMT of #Fertilisers #Sales keeping #FarmerFirst #Service2Farmers #SaveTheSoil in mind #FY14-15.”
The production of fertilizer also saw an upswing compared to last year forcing MD to tweet “ Congratulations to all production units as they produced nearly 75Lakh MT of #Fertilisers. #SaveEnergy #QualityProduct on priority #FY14-15.”
