Soon after the ghastly terror attack, which claimed 129 lives, Paris has readied itself to host a crucial summit beginning Monday on the issue of climate change.
More than 150 heads of states are participating in the meeting which hopes to reach a global agreement based on commitments by all to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases causing the earth to heat up.
By way of its support to the goals of the summit, the cooperative sector is making efforts to make a difference by encouraging farming in a way that does not harm the global climate.

After the opening ceremony of the summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with French President Francois Hollande will jointly launch an International Solar Alliance of over 100 countries on Monday.
The alliance is meant to present a group of sun favored countries as a block to get a better deal in the rising renewable energy market. The move was conceived by Modi in January. Later, he pursued it with many other sunshine-rich countries and convinced them of joining the alliance.
Among other cooperatives IFFCO has also launched production of solar energy in its own way. It has promised to fund researches in solar energy should govt want it.
