Even as Sri Lanka is choosing Indian Nano Urea over the Chinese contaminated fertilizers, IFFCO has had a record production of more than one crore bottles of Nano Urea from its Kalol Plant till Sunday.
A euphoric Dr U S Awasthi, MD of IFFCO captured the moment by tweeting “Heartiest congratulations to the entire IFFCO family for a big day today as we crossed more than 1 Crore production of IFFCO Nano Urea bottles. Brilliant job done by the team.
Thanking Awasthi for his leadership, the scientist behind the Nano Urea Ramesh Ralaliya said “It was possible with the teamwork mantra and leadership of commitment, support, and inspiration given by you. We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve farmers and our Mother Earth under your esteemed leadership.”
It bears recall that India sent 100,000 kg of Nano Nitrogen fertilizer to Sri Lanka in the backdrop of the latter barring the use of contaminated Chinese fertilizers. Sri Lanka had barred Chinese organic fertilizer from unloading after it was found to be contaminated with bacteria.
The two IAF C-17 Globemaster aircraft arrived at Sri Lanka’s Bandaranaike International Airport with 100,000 Kg of IFFCOs Nano Nitrogen last week. This was intended to help the Government of Sri Lanka supply their farmers with Nano Nitrogen Fertilizer without delay.
The three entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) for the same. Earlier, IFFCO signed an MoU for the same with Brazil Cooperative, OCB IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid is a Sustainable Solution for Plant Nutrition with higher Nutrient Use Efficiency and reducing soil, water, and air pollution. Huge Impact on quality of underground water, very significant reduction of global warming with a positive impact on climate change & sustainable development.
Talking to this reporter on the development, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi said that his next target is to produce Nano DAP. Informed sources said that while the papers related to Nano DAP production have already been submitted to the fertilizer ministry, IFFCO is busy doing the basic preparations on the ground.
“We don’t need to begin from the scratch once the go-ahead signal comes from the govt”, said Awasthi stressing that Nano DAP would be made available to farmers sooner than later.
