Taking after IFFCO MC that aimed to drive away fake and over-charging pesticide companies from the market, IFFCO will launch a job portal named IFFCO Yuva aimed at bringing jobs to rural youth with a click of computer mouse and without any charge-hidden or upfront.
Explaining the idea behind the new initiative IFFCO Director R P Singh says there are hundreds of websites which act as interface between job seekers and the employers but they are too urban centric and expensive for rural youth. “Treasuring youth as the real asset of India our MD Dr U S Awasthi has decided to come up with a portal for their exclusive use”, said Singh.
Tweeting about the new venture on which IFFCO is ready to shell out money from its own coffers IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi tweeted “ Happy to share that for the benefit of #farmers & #youth living in #rural #India we are bringing a new platform called http://www.iffcoyuva.in . It will educate, #empower & provide a platform for #skill development & jobs to youth in rural areas. A free service for rural youth.”
The IFFCO Yuva which is being improvised everyday by an expert IT team from IFFCO’s own House is free as anyone can register here. On all other such sites there usually is a fee and then when a vacancy comes up a user is asked to shell out more money for forwarding the biodata, testimonials etc, underlines Singh.
Sensing the predicament of rural youth IFFCO has decided to launch Yuva with several new innovations one
There is also provision of skill upgradation in this site where a user can log in to book a slot for himself, explained Singh. Singh monitored a meeting with IFFCO’s JV partners last week at IFFCO Sadan in Delhi to give it a final shape.
While IFFCO’s JV partners will advertise its posts and vacancies here IFFCO has also invited all other companies-corporate and cooperatives to adverize here for free. “There are no charges either for job seeker or for job-givers”, Singh clarified.
Besides technical fine-tuning currently underway, different campuses especially rural and agricultural universities are being contacted by IFFCO to make the new job portal a success, said Harshendra Verdhan, Media Head at IFFCO.
