IFFCO’ bid at winning awards crosses national boundaries and its Phulpur unit bagged the prestigious international 2015 IFA Green Leaf runner up award- a matter of imminence satisfaction for the Indian cooperative giant in the light of the importance attached to this award by the international fertilizer players.

The award was given during Global Safety Summit in Vancouver last night amidst a glittering IFA function. Yara International, yet again a cooperative from Norway which has featured on Indian Cooperative on several occasions , won the IFA Green Leaf Award.
International Fertilizer Association IFA is the only global fertilizer body aimed at encouraging efficient and responsible production, distribution and use of plant nutrients for achieving global food security and sustainable development. It has 560 members in 84 countries.

The PR and Media Head Harshendra Verdhan was quick to follow in his MD’s foot-steps and tweeted “ Indeed it’s a Great Testimony to our Standards & Quality. Commitment to look for the future. Your leadership inspires everyone.” In another tweet Verdhan called it a “proud moment for entire IFFCO family.”
In recent times we have been achieving several awards but to be acknowledge by a world body is very encouraging, an IFFCO official said while talking to Indian Cooperative.
Readers would note that in the last FAI award ceremony IFFCO units claimed lion’s share as unit after unit bagged awards in different categories. Several of the state governments as well as the Centre have bestowed awards of IFFCO in the recent past. Kudos to cooperative indeed!
