IFFCO MD stress on use of PoS in Coimbatore visit

Even as Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh was addressing the health camp organized by IFFCO in Uttar Pradesh, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi was in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu attending a free health checkup camp for farmers organized by IFFCO.

Sharing the details of his visit, Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh wrote on social media “Addressed the health camp organized by IFFCO in Siswa Market in Paharpur”.

IFFCO Managing Director is on Sahakarita Kisan Yatra in Coimbatore- his 36th destination. Farmers and cooperators turned out in large number to hear the MD. An IFFCO delegate from Coimbatore Ovr Ramachandran who pasted his FB wall with photographs of Awasthi’s visit hailed him as a “Super Star of Farmers”.

Awasthi was impressed with young artists’ stage performance highlighting environmental problems. He tweeted “I was impressed to see a nice performance dedicated to #environment by #Children in #coimbatore”.

During his visit, he addressed the farmers on Cashless Economy and encouraged them for using PoS machine for buying agricultural inputs. More than 1800 farmers and cooperators were present on the occasion.

Winding up the tour Awasthi wrote “It was a memorable moment when hundreds of #farmers & #cooperators showered their #love & respect to me. #Coimbatore #50yearsofIFFCO”.
