IFFCO MD moves on to cover remaining destinations

Soon after the Board meeting in Kolkata which saw the election of the new Vice-Chairman of IFFCO, the Managing Director along with his team moved on to complete his remaining destinations in the Farmers’ Connect Campaign. Baharampur in West Bengal was his 74th destination.

Meeting farmers and cooperators of the town a satisfied Awasthi tweeted “In #Baharampur, I met every farmer & cooperator who came to attend #50yearsofIFFCO #farmer & #cooperative meet. #farmers: strength of #IFFCO.”

As usual he ensured that health camps are organized and basic health awareness is created among the poor farmers. A large number of lady doctors were deployed to measure the health parameters of farmers and offer them health guidance.

In a bid to boost local culture IFFCO encouraged people to hold a cultural evening where young children participated and presented their programmes.

Agri-based exhibition was held and basic training in digital transaction was also imparted to the farmers of the area. As the MD tweeted” #IFFCO is promoting #cashless scheme started by PM @narendramodi. Teaching #farmers about PoS machines & digital cashless. #50yearsofIFFCO”.

Later, on Wednesday MD’s team moved to the 75th destination- which is Port Blair in Andaman Nicobar.

Eulogizing the reach of IFFCO its MD said IFFCO is spread across all corners- from Arunachal to Kachch and from Leh to Andaman.

Earlier, he also visited Rama Krishna Mission ashram at Saragachi in Murshidabad and met Swami Vishwamayanand.
