As soon as the foundation stone laying ceremony of IFFCO Nano DAP concluded, IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi started reviewing the other activities of the Kandla unit and inaugurated many new things in the unit.
He flagged off WDG 4 locomotives taking a loaded rake from the IFFCO Kandla siding to its destination in the presence of railways and IFFCO officials.
During his IFFCO Kandla visit, he also visited the plant and inspected the 2 newly constructed Phosphoric Acid Tanks with capacity 10,000 MT Bulk each and interacted with the employees.
Besides, he inaugurated a new Vermi compost Plant at the IFFCO Kandla Unit. “This new plant will help in enhancing the soil quality of the unit, township and panthiya farm in Kandla”, said Awasthi.
Awasthi interacted with various officials at the Kandla Unit including Jatin Sheladiya, a young Fire Officer, who briefed him about the safety and security of the manufacturing units.
Apart from interacting with young officials of the Kandla Unit, the MD discussed the possibility of expanding the Kandla Unit. He also discussed IFFCO’s Nano DAP & Nano Urea with young professionals.
Readers would recall that Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah performed the Bhumi Pujan and laid the foundation stone of IFFCO Nano DAP (Liquid) Plant at Gandhidham, Gujarat on Saturday last week.
The Union Minister of Cooperation had said that liquid fertilizer is going to give multi-dimensional benefits to the country’s economy and the agriculture sector. Spraying of Nano DAP (liquid) will not pollute the land, which will further ease the natural farming, increase soil fertility along with agricultural production and will promote land conservation.
IFFCO DAP does not go inside the ground, but remains on the top of the crop, due to which not only the benefits of DAP become available to the crop, but the land is also preserved, said the Minister.
